About

I’ve always been an artistic person. When I was young, that meant painting a picture or playing an instrument. By the time I was an adult, I was working in restaurants by day and cooking meals at home by night (or often vice versa). Creating delicious food became my new artistic outlet.

I’ve now been working with or around food for over 20 years. Initially, that meant serving it. However, I know working in the front of the house still helped me develop the skills that I now have today. No matter what my role is around food, I’m always learning and I’m always gathering inspiration.

In 2014 my husband discovered gluten was what had been making him sick on a daily basis. For me that meant learning to cook without it, which was challenging at first, but it also is what helped me start to really think outside of the box, and become more creative than ever.

In 2015, we both became vegan. At first, we made the change for the environment. We watched Cowspiracy and went from omnivores to vegans overnight. I wanted to ensure a planet for my kids, and one day their kids.

Once vegan for the planet, we realized we really didn’t want to be hurting any animals either. People have always thought I was crazy because I would catch yellow jackets and set them free outside. I don’t, nor have I ever, wanted to kill anything, so why pay someone else to do it for me? I can’t, I won’t, and especially now that I’ve learned more about what goes on in the dirty industry of animal agriculture. I started for the planet, I stay for the animals.

We thought it would be hard, but it’s not. The more restrictions you give me in the kitchen, the more fun it can be. Like a challenge, a game. Aaaand we don’t have to feel guilt for what we’re eating.

Since I started this blog in 2017, I’ve continued to grow my culinary career by working as a personal chef, by teaching private cooking lessons, by executing local pop-ups, and by working as a recipe developer for other local businesses. I’ve also recently graduated in Health Supportive Culinary Arts and Culinary Management from the Institute of Culinary Education, Los Angeles.

My passion is to make delicious food. Nothing makes me happier than seeing others enjoy the food I’ve created for them. I also love to share my recipes because that helps my food come to those who are otherwise out of my reach.  I believe by feeding others, and by helping others create vegan food on their own, I’m helping the planet, the animals, and often times, our health.

If you’re interested in finding out more about the services I offer outside of the blog, you can email me here. Otherwise, find a recipe and let’s cook!

  1. Hello,
I met Amanda today at Earthwise and she gave me your card. She said you are starting a vegan meal delivery business. I’m very interested as I’m vegetarian and trying to be vegan…and I don’t cook. I live in Carlsbad near Alga and El Camino Real if you deliver to my neighborhood.

Please let me know if you have information on this.

    Thanks!
    Gigi

    1. Hi Gigi!
I have a couple of people I am cooking meals for right now and am getting things in order to be able to offer services to more. If you’d like to email me at tiffani@veggiesattiffanis.com I’d be happy to provide you with more information.
      Thank you for your interest!
